Star Wars: Squadrons is centered around 5v5 first-person multiplayer space combat. You’ll triumph as a team and plan every skirmish together in the briefing room before taking off for space battles across the galaxy. Compose your squadron with different starfighter classes, unite and take on tactical objectives, and adapt to the situation as it arises. Battle in intense dogfights, carry out bombing runs on capital ships, and coordinate attacks on the subsystems of giant flagships. Together, you’re the galaxy’s finest.
2. Get in the cockpit
Feel the intensity of combat in the cockpits of legendary starfighters from a first-person perspective. Use your instruments to target enemies and manage the power between weapons, shields, and engines. 3. Tip the scales in monumental fleet battles
Fleet Battles is Star Wars: Squadrons’ signature mode. Unite with your squadron online or play against bots to tip the scales in a multi-stage, objective-based contest between two squadrons of five. Advance the frontline by dominating the enemy in intense dogfights and carry out bombing runs to take out capital ships protecting your ultimate goal: the destruction of the massive, enemy flagship.
4. Experience a unique Star Wars story
The New Republic fights for freedom. The Empire demands order. You’ll fly for both and learn what it means to be a pilot in a thrilling Star Wars single-player story, covering a key campaign near the conclusion of the Galactic Civil War. Seen from alternating perspectives between two factions, iconic and emerging leaders on both sides are battling for the galaxy. This is a time when ace pilots will make all the difference.
5. Master a roster of legendary starfighters
Take full control of a total of eight starfighters from both the New Republic and Imperial fleets! The lineup includes the Fighter class X-wing and TIE fighter, the Bomber class Y-wing and TIE surface assault bomber, the Interceptor class A-wing and TIE interceptor, and the Support class U-wing and TIE reaper. Each class has its own advantages and drawbacks to complement one another – like the A-wing being fast but fragile and the TIE surface assault bomber being heavy-hitting but sluggish. The roster of starfighters can also be modified with an arsenal of over 50 components to suit your own playstyle.
6. Battle in known and never-before-seen locations
Take off to space battles in both known and never-before-seen locations! Fight above the massive gas giant Yavin Prime, navigate between still-molten fragments from the shattered moon of Galitan, and unite throughout the dangerous Zavian Abyss filled with shipwrecks and asteroids charged with energy from the surrounding maelstrom.
