Space Engineers: Wasteland DLC Available Now on Xbox One

We are keen to announce several changes coming to Space Engineers including support for Xbox Series X|S as well as Xbox One.

As a part of our goal to bring parity to the Xbox and PC platforms, this update will be released on all supported platforms simultaneously. Not only this, but the Xbox Series X version will provide groundbreaking gameplay and help define the future of Space Engineers on Xbox! Space Engineers on the Xbox Series X will deliver a true, vivid, and high-performing experience like never before. On Xbox Series S, you can experience blazing fast load times, better simulation quality, and an improved overall performance compared to the Xbox One version of Space Engineers.

Ensuring proper support for all platforms means proper support for all features and functionality, including dedicated servers. Wasteland is multiplayer-focused and the content of the Wasteland DLC is designed to be enjoyed with friends.

Custom craft a vehicle of your own or select one of the pre-designed ones and compete against motorheads, thrill seekers, and speed freaks from across the system. In the Wasteland DLC, we aimed to resolve the most pressing community issues with cars, wheels, and console controls. Regarding new content, we added a new planet, stylish off-road wheels, compact cockpits, viewport blocks, exhaust pipes, and the much-anticipated concrete armor skin together with dust, rust, and retro sci-fi skins. Wasteland has been a very special project for us and something we hope you love!

Our “apocalyptic” vision would not be complete without the addition of the Scavenger suit and two new themed emotes. More free quality of life features available in this update are the visual scripting tool now integrating dedicated server support, ultimate spectator mode, and a complete rebalance of Hydrogen (based on community feedback).

We are pleased to announce the release of the Wasteland update! A collection of “apocalyptic future” themed blocks, armor skins, terrain, and new “quality of life” features and improvements. Enjoy Wasteland on the dunes of an all-new planet in our adrenalin-packed high-speed racing scenario.

This update includes both free features as well as the option of paid DLC. Functional items that directly impact game mechanics are always offered as a free upgrade. Cosmetic upgrades are included as paid DLC content. This is how we structure all our major DLC releases and we hope you enjoy it.
