Reading Time: 4 minutes

Want to spend a weekend in the tropics? Do you mind if it’s in a different part of the galaxy and the beaches are covered with industrial toxic waste? No? Then you won’t mind the murderous robots and bizarrely dangerous heights!

As the most talented, most trusted (closest) person for the job, Kindred Aerospace needs you to head to DL-C1 and investigate the situation at the location of their newest retirement community.

It seems a rival aerospace company has been dumping their toxic waste all over the site and Kindred Aerospace needs you to investigate. It could be deadly work, but that’s what cloning is for, right?

All this tropical chaos is part of the Hot Garbage DLC heading to Journey to the Savage Planet today on Xbox One.

For our first full size DLC, we wanted to give you more than more of the same. So there’s a whole new biome to explore. Unlike the biomes of AR-Y 26, DL-C1 is a tropical paradise with beaches, beautiful vistas and tranquil waters that you can actually swim in!

If you’d like to kick back and take a swim, or explore the planet to find collectible postcards, that’s totally up to you. It’s your time, spend it the way you’d like. However, if you’re interested in a getaway that’s got a bit more…excitement, we’ve got you covered.

DL-C1 isn’t just beaches and palm trees, there’s also a massive amount of toxic waste being dumped on the site. It’s up to you to investigate and find out what’s going on.

Needless to say, whoever is trashing the place has no reservations about blasting curious visitors into sludge, so you’ll need to be careful to avoid corrosive waste as well as a collection of security robots that require thinking as well as a fast trigger to defeat.

But it’s not all corrosives and blaster bolts, there’s also a curious set of anomalies that have an interesting effect on your jet pack. We don’t want to spoil it for you, but we think the experience will have you flying. So, yeah, it’s flying. But it isn’t just swooping around all carefree, you have to work it.

For those of you who want to document your adventures, when the DLC goes live, everyone gets a free Photo Mode camera upgrade. Now, in addition to a wide range of poses and filters, there’s also a new holographic mode that lets you place creatures safely in frame with you! All the excitement of getting your photo with a pikemander without all the trampling and screaming.
