The Pip-Boy 3000 is a gadget that basically appears in Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. It’s an electronic Personal Information Processor (PIP) manufactured by RobCo Industries in the mid-21st century, and acts as the HUD in the game. Now one geek has built a real-life version, minus the in-game functionality. Powered by Rasberry Pi, it does feature the PipBoy operating system and can even grab location data if you have a Google Maps API key.
