As we eagerly wait for the evad3rs team to release a jailbreak for iOS 7, cjori, developer of Cydia tweaks such as Dashboard X, Applocker etc. has published some screenshots of what Cydia, the unofficial App Store look like on iOS 7.
RedmondPie reports that cjori has told them that he has managed to tether jailbreak his iPhone 4 running on iOS 7.0.2 usingOpenSn0w. He managed to successfully port Cydia to iOS 7, though unofficially.
Cydia was recompiled from source with the iOS 7 SDK and he manually debugged all of the issues encountered using various UNIX tools. When asked if he will be releasing this iOS 7 compatible Cydia along with instructions on how to tether-jailbreak iOS 7, he said that while Cydia itself seems to be stable, a lot of the things revolving around it and jailbreak in general are very unstable, therefore he does not plan on releasing it at this point, but he might do so in future once things are fixed.
Jay Freeman aka saurik, founder of Cydia, has also clarified to RedmondPie that the Cydia port by cjori is a third-party compilation of the modified code from a previous release of Cydia, and not indicative of what Cydia will look like on iOS 7.
As for the jailbreak status, the evad3rs team seem to be very busy working on the iOS 7 jailbreak, as we haven’t heard from them since the last update, where pod2g had mentioned that he was increasingly confident there will be an iOS 7 jailbreak.
