A new Double XP event has been just announced for Call of Duty: Ghost. Activision informed us with this press release:

To celebrate the launch of Call of Duty®: Ghosts on the next generation consoles, we’re turning on our Next-Gen Launch Double XP Weekend today. From Friday, November 29th (6pm GMT) through to Monday, December 2nd (6pm GMT), players on Xbox One and PlayStation™ 4 will earn twice the amount of XP on all of their Multiplayer actions.
