Fortnite’s next update is coming soon. Developer Epic Games has announced that the v3.5 update will go live tomorrow, April 19, starting at 4 AM ET / 7 AM PT.
Epic no longer shares patch notes ahead of launch, but these will be available once the update goes out tomorrow. Epic said the patch notes will be published „once downtime begins,“ so we also know there will be a period of downtime as well. However, it’s unclear right now how long the servers may be offline for.

This update is set to arrive amid speculation that something big is about to happen in Fortnite as it relates to the meteor in the sky that players recently came across. Some believe the meteor is set to destroy Tilted Towers, but that’s not confirmed as of yet. If something happens with the meteor tomorrow we’ll report back with all the details.
The in-game news menu in Fortnite shows that the 50v50 limited-time mode is coming soon, along with a new light machine gun with a fast rate of fire. It’s possible these will be added to Fortnite tomorrow in the new update.
In other news, Epic recently removed the guided missile weapon over concerns about its strength and fairness. The weapon could return to Fortnite in the future.
Fortnite is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, as well as iOS. The different versions often get patched at the same time, while purchases made on one platform move with you.
